Pack Size

Everything you need to set your shed floor on footers except the lumber. Each kit includes TuffBlocks and the 1/4" x 4" structural screws to attach a 4x4 post to your floor frame at every footer. The pack sizes match the number of footers we recommend for common shed floor sizes, so there's no guessing.

Why TuffBlocks
Concrete blocks are heavy and hard to level, especially on a slope. TuffBlocks are light, portable, and durable. Set one on tamped gravel, cut a 4x4 post to height, and screw the post to the floor frame. We've built hundreds of sheds on this system, including a 10x16 floor on a yard with a 32" drop.

What's included

  • TuffBlocks (4, 6, 8, 9, 12 or 15, depending on the kit)
  • 1/4" x 4" structural screws, 6 per block (3 on each side of the post)

What you'll need

  • 4x4 pressure-treated posts
  • 2x4 pressure-treated lumber for braces
  • Gravel for under each footer
  • Your floor framing lumber

How it works

  1. Clear the area and tamp the ground flat.
  2. Add gravel for drainage and to keep the footer from settling.
  3. Set the TuffBlock and measure from its center to the top of the floor frame.
  4. Cut a 4x4 post to that length and place it in the block.
  5. Level the frame, then drive 3 structural screws on each side of the post into the joist.
  6. Brace each post with 2x4s.

Which pack do I need?
Pick the pack that matches your shed size. Wider sheds, 10' and 12', use a center skid with extra footers. Our free floor guide shows exactly how many footers your shed needs and where each one goes.
