I just purchased the hardware kit for this shed and started using it today. The very day I received the email about the new handle design. I received the old shorter handle in my kit. Was planning to frame my doors in a way that would require the new handle length. Now what.
So far after using the hardware kit, all I have to say is I’m glad they sent extra screws. Buyer Beware, the are all Phillips head and prone to stripping out on 3”+ screws. Why on earth did you not use Torx head screws. So far, about 20% have stripped out, and I’m using a brand new driver bit.
Not fun.
Hi Robert, don’t worry your double door kit included in the Project Pack will work perfect for your build. The change was made for our single door kit. Also, try using the #1 and #2 square drive bits in the kit which fit all the screws. Some of the screws have a combo head for Phillips and square but square drive is usually preferred. Best of luck on your build and don’t forget if you have questions join the Skool group so we can help.
