Well the price for the product was 3400+ on Home Depot. I ran it twice to make sure it was not double the price. I scanned the QR code and thought I must have done it twice based on someone else's review, so I deleted it and no it still holds. In the end I spent 30 bucks trying to save some money but I can get the same but delivered, installed and secured for less than that. I wanted all non OSB but this is still OSB so its equal in my mind in terms of materials.
Hey Keith, yeah it sounds like you have the material list doubled up in your Home Depot cart. I just checked again and in my area in Georgia the material cost is $1,773. We see a little variation around the US but not that much.
All plans are done great but once I checked Home Depot basket it came to $3500 in materials itself. And plans estimate shows to be around $2000. At $3500 materials cost I can buy such shed for $3900 and save myself a weekend of work , so this plan is well done butdoesn’t have any use for me.
Hi Anton, thanks for the feedback. You might want to check the cart as it sounds like you might have loaded the cart twice doubling the amount of materials. Material costs can vary but that seems well outside the range we usually see.
The shed rafter does not have a ridge board or ridge beam which is required by the city building code in my area. It would have been 5 stars if the shed have the design of the ridge board or ridge beam.
Hey Quang, thanks for the feedback. I am surprised your city (or any city) would require a certain type of rafter system. All of our classic sheds have a common (easy-to-build) rafter construction. If you join our Everyday Shed www.skool.com community we could help give some feedback on the design. Best of luck.
